Terms of Use
Last updated October 25, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of autera.health, operated by Autera Health LLC ("Autera", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms.
Not medical advice
Content on this site, including assessment results, is general information and is not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Using the site does not create a doctor-patient relationship with Autera. Autera does not practice medicine. Whether serum tears are appropriate for you is decided by a licensed eye doctor after an examination. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.
The assessment
The assessment uses your answers to suggest whether serum tears may be worth discussing with an eye doctor. A favorable result does not guarantee that you will be prescribed serum tears, that a partner eye doctor is available near you, or that any treatment will be effective. You agree to provide accurate information.
About serum tears
Autologous serum eye drops are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. They are prepared by licensed pharmacies on a patient-specific prescription. Like any treatment, they carry risks, which your eye doctor will discuss with you.
Providers
If you register as a provider, you confirm that the information you give, including your NPI and credentials, is accurate and that you are licensed to practice. Registration expresses interest; participation in the Autera provider network is subject to verification and a separate agreement.
Availability and pricing
Our services are being introduced region by region and may not be available where you live. Prices are shown to you before anything is prepared or shipped. Exam fees are set and billed by your eye doctor.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site: no automated submissions, no attempts to access data that isn't yours, and no interference with its operation.
Intellectual property
The site and its content, including the Autera name and logo, belong to Autera Health LLC and may not be copied or used without permission.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Autera is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
