Why partner with Autera

Built around how practices already work.

  • No in-office infrastructure

No phlebotomy, compounding, freezer storage or shipping on your side.

  • Pre-screened patients

Patients complete a structured history before referral: diagnoses, symptom frequency and treatments tried.

  • Outcomes you can see

Symptom scores and usage between batches, so you can titrate with data.

  • You stay in charge

You remain the treating clinician. Every prescribing decision is yours.

Provider FAQ

Common questions.

Anything else? Email providers@autera.health.

What do I need in my office?

Nothing beyond what you use for a dry eye exam. Blood draws, pharmacy preparation, storage and shipping are handled outside your practice.

Who prepares the drops?

Licensed pharmacy partners prepare each batch under sterile conditions from the patient's own serum, at the concentration you prescribe.

How are patients referred to me?

Patients who complete the Autera assessment and may be candidates can be matched with partner eye doctors near them for an exam. You decide whether serum tears are appropriate.

Can I prescribe for my existing patients?

Yes. Register, then prescribe for any patient you have examined and consider appropriate. We take it from there.

What do you share back with my practice?

Results of a standardized dry eye symptom questionnaire and adherence check-ins between batches, so you can adjust concentration or dosing.

What happens after I register?

Our clinical partnerships team verifies your NPI and credentials, then walks you through prescribing, referrals and outcome reporting.
